Red Apple Creative And SNK Studios Get Moving For Crisis

The companies take on Crisis's 50:50 challenge to help raise funds in the fight against homelessness.

Recently the Charity Team here at Red Apple pressed send on an all-company email with the word “Crisis” in the subject line. But it was the best kind of news: we’re raising money for the wonderful charity Crisis, by taking part in their 50/50 Challenge! Our competitive Fitbit-owning power-walking team are primed to cover 50 miles in 50 days over September and October by walking, running, swimming, jet packing - any way we can.

It’s all part of our ongoing partnership with Crisis, which we officially began earlier this year. Crisis is a national charity who work directly with thousands of homeless people every year, and provide vital help so that people can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good.

Rough sleeping in England has increased by 132% since 2010, and there are now more than 236,000 people homeless across Britain. Research also suggests that, if current policies remain in place, homelessness will increase by another 25% in the next ten years.

These are staggering figures, and as a company we want to help work towards a solution. Crisis do incredible work across the country helping people on their journeys out of homelessness, through education, training and support with housing, employment, and physical and mental health.

They’ve got their eye on the biggest picture imaginable, and have just launched their plan to end homelessness once and for all.
